Helping parents understand behavior, build meaningful skills, and prepare their children for greater independence—one step at a time.
About
I’m Yvette Fuentes, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and parent consultant who believes that understanding behavior—and intentionally teaching skills—can shape a child’s future.
Parents want to prepare their children for life, but it isn’t always clear what to teach, when to step in, or how to respond when challenges arise. Too often, support begins after a behavior has become a struggle. I believe we can start earlier.
Through years of supporting children and families—and through parenting my own child—I’ve seen how powerful it can be when we shift the focus from simply stopping behavior to understanding what a child may need to learn.
Communication. Independence. Emotional regulation. Problem-solving. Self-advocacy. Everyday life skills.
These aren’t skills we have to wait until children are older—or struggling—to teach. They can be built little by little through the everyday moments families are already having.
My approach is rooted in behavior science, but designed for real life. I help parents understand behavior, identify meaningful skills to work on, and find practical ways to teach them with greater confidence and intention.
My mission is to help families focus on skills before struggles—because the skills we teach our children today can help prepare them to become more capable, independent adults tomorrow.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
Whether you’re navigating a challenge or simply want to be more intentional about the skills you’re teaching, I’m here to help you understand what your child may need next—and how to support them along the way.
Let’s build skills for today and for the future.
